An old story
Long ago and long ago there was a poor fisherman, out fishing, and he saw a big barrel floating towards him on the water. He pushed it before him with his fishing rod towards the shore, and when he got out of his boat, and succeeded opening the barrel, he was much surprised to find in it three lovely children, two boys and a girl, they were only one, two and three years old. They could give no account of who they were or where they came from. The fisherman took them to his wife, who had no children of her won, and she took them in, cared for them and reared them until they were grown up. The children were very fond of the poor fisherman and his wife, who just treated them as if they were their own children. This day there was great commotion(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
