Ar an leathanach seo

  1. Toomour which was formally the name of the old parish now known as Keash, is now reserved for the name of the townland in which I live. There are twelve families in this townland. Cullen is the most common surname.

    Some of the houses are thatched and more are slated. The townland got its name long ago from an old bell in the Toomour Abbey while when it rang would seem to sound "Toomour"
    There are a few old people in this townland over seventy years old who can speak a little Irish but are unable to tell stories in that language. Many people left this townland in former times going mostly to America. Some of the land is boggy but in places it is good.
