  1. Once upon a time, people used to gather on a rock, this rock was situated on the top of Ramonan hill, in the parish of Castlerahan.
    During that time the "Penal laws" were in force against the Irish Catholics, and no priest was allowed to say mass, but in spite of this, each priest used to gather a number of people, and then they would find a quiet place along some hedge, and there the priest used to say mass.
