  2. A seventh son is supposed to be able to cure Warts, Ring Worm, and many other complaints. There is a man who lives down in Ballyboran called William Ward and he is a seventh son. A seventh son will have no power to cure things if there is girls between. A seventh son cures warts by getting a piece of straw and making the sign of the cross with it and then by putting a thorn through the straw and pointing it at the warts and after a while the warts will wither away.
