  1. In one of Mr Timothy Ryan's fields in the townland of Brookley, parish of Drom, Co. Tipperary there is a bush. Under that bush is a crock of gold. The Danes hid it in there in former times for safety. Several people came to dig for it. Amongst those who came were Corbett and Welsh from Baliinahow, in the townland of Ballinahow, parish of Ballycahill, Co. Tipperary. They came there three months ago but they got nothing. It is unknown what the value of the gold was. A turkey-cock is supposed to be minding the place. One time there was a light seen near the place.

  2. The golden gate of Knocka castle is supposed to have been buried in the bog of Knocka. This bog is owned by William Maher who is living in the townland of Knocka, in the parish of Drom, in the Co. Tipperary. It is said that the Danes
