  1. About the year 1907 a very severe thunderstorm took place. It took place in the middle of August in the year 1907. The evening was very dark and the thunderstorm commenced at nightfall, and lasted through the night. It killed a good many cattle and horses in the neighbourhood. There were many remarkable stories told about it. One of them is, two little children were sitting at the fire playing with a lamb, when a flash of lightening passed and killed the lamb. The two little children were saved.
