  1. There is a ruined castle in Barryscourt. It was built in one thousand two hundred and six by Philip Barry burned by David Barry and repaired by David. It is seven hundred and thirty two years old and I do not know rightly how long it has been derelict. It is about a quarter of a mile from Carrigtwohill village, in the townland of Barryscourt, and Carrigtwohill parish.
