  1. Ballaghmore cross roads lead to Roscrea and Borris-in-Ossory and Camross. On the way to Camross there is Clonokal cross and a road leads from it to Coolraine. At that cross there is a bush in the middle of the road and every person is supposed to go at one side of it . There was a man killed there.
The Birr road goes from the Roscrea road to Birr. About two miles further on turn to the left where a road leads to Sean Ross Abbey. Then go through the town of Roscrea and over Burgeo Bridge and on to Mount Saint Joseph's Abbey. From Ballaghmore there is a mountain pass up to Camross. People went that way when there were no good roads.
