    coward" by the "Good Boys" because he believed in fairies. He used travel by train occasionally and this necessitated his late return. A certain house near the station was bound to be "knocked up" to produce a guide for him past the Drumar hills where the cromlechs stand. He was not above soliciting the protection of women when he could find no better assistance. It was becoming a paying concern for the "good boys" as the pay was half a crown on condition the guide waited till he got safely inside his own door. So they all invented and told him freely about their frequent appearings
    When one accompanied him he usually carried stones in his pocket and used throw an occasional one in the bushes and say "Did you hear that Master" The reply was "Yes Yes".
    It was most amusing to hear this man recite chivalrously at concerts, It was always a manly soldier-like recitation or poem, and used get tremendous applause as the audience knew his worth but did not disclose their secret.
