  1. One time the Holy Family was travelling and it was a really windy day. Our Lady lost the brooch of her cloak which she had helping to keep the Holy Infant warm.
    Saint Joseph asked a herd for a thorn which would do for a brooch. The herd said that he was too busy minding his beasts. A second herd made the same excuse. When they Three were passing a forge the blacksmith came out and saw that the Holy Mother needed a pin. I will give you one he said. He took a piece of money from his pocket and shaped it into a brooch. The Lady took the brooch and thanked the smith and gave him her blessing. Ever since then a smith who washes in the
