  1. Garlic - This weed often destroys the cow's milk as it gives a nasty taste to the milk of the cow that eats it. How ever it is one of those herbs that contain a cough cure. Mixed with port wine it is a stomach tonic and it is also a cure for cough.
    Hemlock - grows in marshy land and is poisonous. It is dangerous too for children or animals. It grows in marshy places.
    Rag Weed - also torments the farmer.
    Crow's foot - This weed destroys plants. It spreads rapidly and gives great trouble.
    Robin run the hedge - is a troublesome weed. It twines round the plants and smothers them.
    Praiseach bhuidhe - destroys corn. This weed is often mixed with the seed when bought and gives the farmer great trouble.
