    A big fall of snow fell about sixty years ago. All the roads and houses were covered with snow so that nothing could be seen.
    Several people while going to buy food they found themselves on the top of houses.
    One man went to Clonmel and when night fell he found himself on the top of St. Peter and Paul's church in Johnson St. Many lives were lost in the blizzard.

    “About 40 years ago there was a great storm. A man was clipping a horse in Ballyneale in a house when the storms swept the roof from the house. The same day a Longbarn in Ballyboe was driven four fields away.
    About 20 years ago there was a big flood in Killurney.
