- Cures. To cure the yellow jaundice snails and worms are baked in oatmeal, and given to the person each morning cured the jaundice.
Whooping cough. In the parish of Lurgan there is a special cure for the whopping cough and that is a drink of holy water out of a Bishops scull that was left by a Bishop when he died.
Warts. In several stones there are little round holes where there is nearly there is nearly always a drop of water to be found. If it is rubbed three times to the warts while you bless yourself each time the warts will disappear. Another cure for warts is to get a black snail without searching for him and split him in two and rub him to the warts. Then hang him up on a bush and by the time he withers the warts will wither also.
