- A game sometimes played is trying to frighten people going home from the town. This is done by getting a raw turnip and scooping it out and sticking a bit of a candle in it and making eyes and a nose in it. It is then put on the pier of a gate and when the people are going home they'd think it is a ghost.
- Another game that is played is catching birds in a crib. This game is played when when there is snow on the ground. First the crib is put on the ground. Then a thin piece of stick is put under it as a prop, and a long piece of cord is tied to the stick and the person hides somewhere. Then when a bird is seen going into it, the cord is pulled and the cage falls down(continues on next page)
