One time a woman was washing clothes late at night and she opened the door to let out the smoke and when she did a little girl came in with a shawl around her and the woman got a fright and she asked he what did she want. She said that she wanted a bit of bread and the woman gave her the bit of bread and she stretched out a long thin hand like an eagles claw and the woman got a fright and she shut the door and she went to bed and never washed any more cloths at night.

One time a man went for the Priest for his mother and when he was going for her he met a funeral of fairies and when he was meeting them some of them would give him a shoulder and knock him into the ditch and when he would get out another of them would give him another shoulder and throw him in again and after a while a big tall woman came up and caught him by the arm and said to him " you are not very bad you have five pieces of money a'home in a box. Go home now and your mother is well" and he wet home and his mother was well
