- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)they reached the river Nore. They both wondered how they would get across but the plough and grubber plunged in quite unconcerned. As they were getting up the opposite bank one of them said "darlint old grubber". He was instantly left on his feet and the grubber gone. They both got up on the plough which carried them until they reached Diamond's Bog. One of them again spoke and said "how will we get across this?" The plough then vanished leaving them helpless. They were three miles from home and feeling very hungry. As they were passing by they saw a house where a light was shining. They went in. There was an old woman sitting by the fire who said "boys I'm sure you are hungry".Sooon she place before them a half pig's head, four crubeens and some potatoes and told them to eat. When the meal was over they were thirsty so she gave them a naggin(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
