  1. Local Poets
    There were not many poets in this district. The only one who was ever recognised as a real poet was John Ogle. He wrote " Molly Oge " in Rosminogue. He lived in Rosminogue.
    There were two other poets lived in this neighbourhood about twenty years ago. They were always making poetry about animals and people and places. They were John Roche, Rosminogue and Patrick Shea, of Shrule.
    They used to have competitions to see which of them would make the most and the best poetry about a certain thing.
