- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)First they used to cut out square pieces of rock and clean them until they were free from dirt. Then they got liquid mud and mixed it with gravel and then they put the mud and gravel into moulds. Then they used to put the tops on the moulds and put them into a big oven to set. After three days they were taken out and left on the ground to dry. These mud bricks were put at the bottom of the house and then a kind of cement was made to stick the blocks together, this cement was made of powdery chalk and gravel mixed with water.
