    The fishermen long ago, used fish day and night and would bring their dinner & supper with them The fishermen's wives used be out all day picking-up old bits of sticks for the fires. When the fishermen used come in with the fish, they would put them on the fire & have them for dinner.
    One night - St Martin's Night - they were out fishing. They never thought of the night that was in it. When they were out a while, they saw St Martin on a white horse & he pointed to them to go back. Some obeyed & some went on; so he told them three times to go back. They did not go, so he drafted them down to the bottom of the sea.
