    Jesus guard my tongue
    Put a lock on my hands
    Put a veil on my eyes against all sin and danger
    To be said before getting up in the morning
    As I went out one Sunday morning
    To view the holy lands.
    I met the Blessed Virgin Mary,
    With seven mass books in her hands
    Seven bells ringing,
    Seven priests singing,
    Open the gates of heaven and let the poor soul in
    Shut the gates of hell fore ever more. Amen.
    To be said going to bed at night
    As I lie down on my right side,
    I pray to God to be my guide,
    Die now die never.
    God forgive my soul for ever.
    To be said before getting up in the morning
    It was on a good Friday morning
    After twelve o'clock
    The Jews came down and speared
