- Once upon a time
And a very good time it was,
When pigs drank wine
And very good wine it was,
The houses were roofed with gingerbread,
And the Streets were paved with six-penny loaves,
And a pig ran up and down the town
With a knife and a fork
Crying out, "Who'll eat me?"
In that time there lived a great man called the gobán Saor. This greatman could do anything with his hands that ever anyone did. He could build houses of wood or of stone. He could do the work of a goldsmith, or of a silver-smith or of a blacksmith. His father before him was a great man but the son beat him out. Gobán kept a great man workers and carpenters to carry out the work he thought out in his head.
