  1. The local fairs are held at Ballymahon,
    Ballymore and Barry. Sometimes buyers go to farmers houses. Some of principal buyers are Mr.Finn,Carton,Messers John Galvan,Moate,Gill of Barry,Joe Daly,and Vance,Ballymahon these men go around to farmers houses at the present day. In olden times some of the buyers were Messers.MacDermot. Belfast,Dolans and Connell,Moate,Rorke,Moigh,Ballymahon.

    There were fairs at Tisinny near Ballymahon about thirty years ago. It was held in the small village. At present the fairs are held on the Streets of Ballymahon,Barry,Ballymore. In former times they were held in a fair green at Ballymahon and Barry. When the fairs were held in fair greens a toll of fourpence
    per head on two year-olds and twopence
    for yearlings and one penny on calves sheep and pigs was collected. John Flynn at Ballymahon the time the fair green was there.
