- 1 Once upon a time an old woman came to Kilskyre and she went to a house of the name of Kearneys of Miltown and asked them for lodging for the night. She told them that she dremt three nights that there were three crocks of gold under a bush in Kilskyre Churchyard. About twelve o clock in the night when the old woman was in bed Mr Kearneys two sons went to the Churchyard and dug under the bush and they found the gold. And it is said, that, that is how Mr Kearney got rich.
