  1. We plant about an acre of potatoes every year.
    My father prepares the ground for the potatoes, sometimes they are sown in "ridges" and sometimes in "drills".
    First of all my father ploughs the land, then harrows it, and shakes in the manure, and when this is done he raises the "drills" and plants the potatoes.
    Generally when people plant "Ridges" they use spade, and on the other hand when "Drills" are sown the plough is used.
    When the season of Summer comes the potatoes are sprayed and the weeds are pulled.
    In the Autumn the potatoes are dug and stored in pits.
