  1. There was a great fire on Bohermean bog about seven years ago and it caused great damage, because it burned a lot of our neighbour's turf. The people from Navan came out to see what it was they thought it was the town of Athboy which was on fire, and there were crowds of people out that night to put it out, but it was impossible as it was burning for at least a week after.
