  1. When the Chapel Bells were first allowed to ring in Ireland, The Dowager Marchioness of Headford went to the parish of Kells and said that she could'nt sleep in the morning with the ringing of the Chapel bells.
    The priest told her not to fear because the bells would never trouble her again and from that day forward the Dowager was stone deaf.
