- THE BALLOONSTwo very curiously shaped houses, one on each side of the road between Garadice and Summerhill. These houses were at the entrance to Lord Langfords demesne. The roofs of these houses are round - something like a balloon in shape. They were built by Lord Langford. To the left of the "Balloon hill" is a hilly field called the "Carraigín".The narrow road to the right of the Balloons is "Ballygortha" and this was the main road to Dublin in olden times.
