Up at Beamore cross there is a fairy fort it is called the Fairy Ring. A man was supposed to have seen the fairies dancing round the fort at mid-night. The fairies stay in the hill all day and come out in the night.
One day the fairies stole a little child and brought her to the fort. One of the small fairies brought her home again and the fairies are supposed to be looking for the child every night
