  1. Long ago when not many doctors were to be found, the people had their own cures. Here are some of the cures which were in my district.
    If a person got a sting of a nettle, a good cure is to keep a capoc leaf on the sting for a few minutes. There is a well near my house called 'John's Well'. Long ago people with pains use get cured by going to this well.
    A person with measles long ago use to get cured by going to the pigsty. A cure for a tooth-ache long ago was put cold water in the mouth of the person who has the tooth-ache. If
