  1. In Drogheda there is a very old school called The Sienna. It was built in the year 1722. Irish was not taught in it. It was a woman who founded it. When she came first she lived in a mud cabin on the bank of the Boyne. From there she went to a house in Dyer Street. In Dyer St poor children were taught. After some time here she went to the Chord Road where it is at present. Another very old school is The Presentation School. It was established in Fair Street in 1789. Irish
