  1. A great storm took place all over Ireland in the year 1839. Many crops were destroyed, many trees were uprooted and a lot of damage was done.
    Near Slane there was a cab travelling along a road with three people in it, two of them were women and the other a man. A large tree was uprooted and it fell down on the cab killing the two women.
    There was a house near Collon which was blown away, books and papers which were blown away was found about eight fields away. Many ships broke from their moorings at
