    from Kithill Cartown in Termonfeckin parish volunteered to pull the wall down and he did. He was well rewarded but the people thought very little of him ever after.
    There is a graveyard around the Church. Catholics are buried in one part and Protestants in another part. There are vaults in the Protestant portion. Part of the graveyard was dug up and the stones removed when the Protestant Church was being built. One of the stones removed was that of Christopher Chivers - builder and occupier of the castle in Ballymakenny.
