    Children get up early on Easter Sunday to see the sun dancing. It is said that it dances with joy on that morning. Some of the children light fires outside on Easter morning and boil eggs and have a feast in the open. Eggs are eaten in large numbers by all. Dumplings are put in the soup on Easter Day.

    Water gruel and nettles used be the principal food used on Good Friday. This nettle gruel is still made around the school district. Another name for the gruel was " Súipín Cúl Fá ".
    A substitute for milk was the water strained from steeped oaten meal.
