  1. The old people long ago were very holy and religious. They did all work in the name of God They made many prayers of their own. Some of these prayers still exist.
    When rising in the morning this prayer is said
    "God bless Daddy and Mam and Granny and my Sisters and Brothers. Lord have mercy on all the poor souls."
    This prayer should be said when going to bed.
    "To night my Lord I place my soul and body in Thy care keep me safe till Blessed morning light."
    This is an other prayer said when going to bed.
