Pisreoga - A Story
In the days gone by it was the general custom with most farmers to lock their cow houses on May eve,to prevent their cows from being milked that night, fearing their Summer butter would be taken away by the "pisreogue" woman. Also on May morning the farmers' wives would go out before sunrise to a stream where three waters met and bring home a bottle of the water and on churning morning they would sprinkle three drops on the cream saying "In the name of the "Father and the Son and of the Holy Ghost.".- Bailitheoir
