  1. Tradition tells us that in this parish there lived a man who one evening after a days work sat down for a rest and as he lay there still he heard great talk. He looked around and saw coming towards him two women who he did not know and he let on to be fast asleep. They came near him and one said, "Come on away, we have no time to bring him now we will come for him tomorrow night."
Off they went and the poor man felt terrible over it because he knew well they were not living people. When he arrived home his mother asked him what happened to him and he told his story. His mother told him to go at once to the priest and tell him because unless something would be done they would take him. The priest gave him a bottle and told him to shake what was in it when they opened the door.
When the next night came he heard the women coming and when they were opening the door he flung the holy water that was in the bottle at them and they went in a blaze of fire.
