- Irish Step Dancing.
There are still a few old women living in the district who were great step-dancers in their young days. Their names are Miss Lonergan; Mrs Hickey; Miss Carrigan. They were all taught by a man named Mr. Walsh, who used to the district , once a week, from Clogheen. He played the violin and taught the dancing at the same time. The classes used be held in Miss Carrigan's barn.
