    The plundering Cromwellian brood,
    Who Sacked the city, took what they could;
    But casks of tallow the chandler would
    At his new house receive.
    But when some candles he would make,
    And tallows from the casks must take,
    He saw a sight his bosom thrilled -
    With precious jewels the casks were filled.
    With face distorted, stern and grim
    Three barrels with gold heaped to the brim,
    Then seemed possessed of some mad whim,
    To build a mansion grand;
    [?] flowering plants and forest trees,
    [?] tulips, lilacs and heart ease,
    Loading with fragrance every breeze
    That swept this fairy land.
    The place selected for its site,
    was old Clan william as was right;
    Forests and glades, & chestnut groves,
    Mountains, valleys, and sheltered coves;
    Rocky caverns, and barren fells,
    Fertile valleys and shady dells;
    Rivers and streams and mountain [?]
    Which furnished many a fairy yarn;
