There are some farms, and the bull that is kept on them is bound to be a rogue. You know the country well, and did you ever see a bull on C__'s farm or on S___'s that wasn't a rogue. 'Tisnt in the grass it is at all: The old people used to say, and mind you, they used have a lot of truth in what they said. They used to say that wherever there was a bull, and an echo together, that the bull there was bound to be cross, and doesn't it stand to reason, for there's an echo in C__'s and an echo in S___'s and in other places. I could tell you and everywhere the echo is the bull is cross"
