The pancakes contain a gold ring and a button. The person who gets the ring will be married before the feast again. The person who receives the button will remain unmarried.On Ash Wednesday people visit the Churches to receive ashes on their foreheads and take some home to the people who can not attend. The rest is kept as a cure during the year. On Chalk Sunday the people who ought to be married and have not received the sacrament are chalked.On Holy Thursday the people visit the Churches and adore the Blessed Sacrament which is exposed.On Easter Saturday morning Easter water and blessed turf are distributed to the people.On Easter Sunday eggs are put down in cold water containing furze blossoms and grass.
