  1. When the Passage Docks were in operation a certain ship came in to be repaired. The crew were allowed off to do whatever they liked. These two men went into a public house to have a drink. After about an hour's drinking they got drunk, and they started fighting, so they said they would fight it out in Mr. Hickey's field. One of the men was killed and for about four weeks after a ghost was seen to walk around a certain tree where the two men had fought. The ghost was covered in white. The people were afraid to pass Mr. Hickey's gate so a couple of R. I. C. men went up to investigate. At twelve o'clock the ghost came and the R. I. C. hunted and caught it. When they caught the ghost they took the white robe off him, and they found that it was a Passage man who was frightening the people.
