   Ballinatra - This is situated at the north side of the Island. It is so called because the houses are down near the strand.

   Rumley's Bridge - This bridge is at the bottom of the hill leading to Ballymore Church. It got its name because people by the name of Rumley's lived there. It got a new name by the people as "Kinna's Bridge. It got that name because a man by the name of McKenna lived there.

   Ballinacrusha - This is so called because it is the village of the cross roads.

   Ballyilane - This is so called because it is the village of the Lanes.

   Ballydanielmore - This is so called because it is the village of the big Daniels. My father, Mr. Willie O'Connor who has lived here all his life told me the above facts.
