In the Summer months people take the nicest flowers they can get to this well.A local resident, John Creagh, was cured by paying nine visits to this well. He was suffering from a very bad leg. He used to take a lighted candle each time and he is now a perfect cure in the parish at this present day.There are many wells around Doneraile but this is the principal one. The people cannot use this water for house-hold purposes as it was tried and could not be boiled.
