    order to get to this well the people got permission to go through the mill-yard.

    A local resident, John Creagh, was cured by paying nine visits to this well. He was suffering from a very bad leg. He used to take a lighted candle each time and he is now a perfect cure in the parish at this present day.
    There are many wells around Doneraile but this is the principal one. The people cannot use this water for house-hold purposes as it was tried and could not be boiled.
