    order to get to this well the people got permission to go through the mill-yard.
    There is a white thorn bush over the wall a ribbon or cloth is hung on this three. Some people make only three rounds others nine. The rosary is generally recited during the rounds and it is said in three different places. In the Summer months people take the nicest flowers they can get to this well.
    A local resident, John Creagh, was cured by paying nine visits to this well. He was suffering from a very bad leg. He used to take a lighted candle each time and he is now a perfect cure in the parish at this present day.
    There are many wells around Doneraile but this is the principal one. The people cannot use this water for house-hold purposes as it was tried and could not be boiled.
