    It is said if you went up to Roches fort at 12 o'clock at night, you would see a regiment of soldiers drilling there. The band is played and the soldiers sing. The trumpet is sounded by a fairy.

  3. The Headless Coach

    Rumours say that every Christmas Eve the headless coach comes out at Stream-hill bridge and goes around Oliver's house four times.
    The coach and horses are black and the coachman is headless. The horses are also headless.
