    Roinn Roinn Postáil
    There are two forges in this district. The smiths are Tim Mullane and Con Sullivan The forges are situated one in Beeing and one in Dromahane. They are near the roadside. The forge is roofed with felt. There is one fireplace within The bellows is near the fire and when the smith wants to redden the fire he twists a wheel and this reddens the fire. The implements he works are hammer pincers, chisel, nails and knife. He shoes horses and asses and repairs farm implements. The forge work done in the open air is banding wheels. Every Christmas the people give the smith a pigs head. The smith is looked upon as being very strong. It is a centre for storytelling. All the young people like to go to the forge to hear stories
