  1. The names of the two principal local roads in this district are the "new line" and the "old coach" road. The new line runs direct from Cork through mallow to Killarney. The "old coach road" runs from Killarney through Rathbeg, Shinnagh, and Inchabeg on through Ballydaly, Tubber, Anagloor, Millstreet, Mushera, and into Cork. At mushera there is a spot called the Kerrymans table. Where travellers to cork make a stop to eat some food and to refresh their horses. These roads were made in the time of the famine and the people worked for four pence a day that time. There an old road in this district knoun as bóthair na gcorp because every funeral had to pass through this road.
