  1. During the Penal times people used to hear Mass by the ditches in this district. There is a field in this district called Páirc an tSéipéil. Protestants used to come and tell the Catholics that the religion the people had was not the right religion. St Lateeran was a very holy woman. Protestants used to recieve Communion the same as Catholics. Priests had no houses of their own.
