  1. Weather Lore.
    There are many signs with regards to the weather given by old people.
    Some of the local beliefs are, that around certain feast days we have storms. For example St.Bridget's day, St. Patrick's day,and
    St.Benjamin's day. These are generally called Rabhta Breeda, Rabhta Padraig, and Rabhta Beirceart. Another belief is that if St. Swithin's day the fifteenth of July will be raining it will rain for forty days and if it will be fine we will have fine, for forty days.
    To my experience that is a sure sign and has occured.
    Signs of the weather as observed in the sky,sun, moon, stars, clouds ( rainbow)
    1.If the sky is grey we will have a storm.
    2.If there is a halo around the moon we will have rain.
    3.If the stars are bright we will have frost.
    4.If the clouds are black we will have rain.
    5.If the setting sun on the evening before appears pale and dirty it is the sign of rain.
    6.If it sets bright and clear it is the sign of fine weather.
    7.When the sky is dark and cloudy in a Summer's
