    porridge and milk that they never heard of tea. The vessels they used to have to drink the tea out of were saucepans and quarts. When the tea became common t'is then they used cups and saucers. The way tea was made long ago was to boil the water in the pot and when the water would be boiling they would put in the tea and sugar and milk and drink it. The reason why they had to boil the water in the pot was that there was no kittles or teapots in them days.
